Thornton

A dynamic presence in the Oklahoma music education community, Remi Thornton serves as the Percussion Director for Bartlesville Public Schools and is an active marching percussion writer and arranger. He is also and performs with Oklahoma’s only professional concert band, the Starlight Band in Tulsa. He brings a fresh perspective to these positions, having completed his studies in Percussion Performance at Oklahoma State University from 2017 to 2020. In addition to his teaching and directing, Mr. Thornton contributes to the broader percussion dialogue as a co-host for the popular Percussion Perspectives Podcast.
