Based in Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Neil Sisauyhoat is a versatile performer and educator specializing in classical, contemporary, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian percussion. He currently serves as Professor of Music at Del Mar College, where he directs the Percussion Ensemble and coordinates the percussion program. Dr. Sisauyhoat performs regularly with the Corpus Christi and Victoria Symphony Orchestras and has appeared at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Previously, while at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he directed the World Percussion Ensemble to a win in the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) World Percussion Ensemble Competition, leading to a performance at the PAS International Convention. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan and is an endorsed artist/clinician for Remo, Latin Percussion, Vic Firth, Zildjian, and Prologix.
