Dr. Nathaniel Gworek serves as an Assistant Professor, Assistant Band Director, and Percussion Instructor at Point University. A dedicated member of the percussion community, he actively commissions new music and holds leadership roles as the Vice President of the Georgia Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and as a member of the PAS Health and Wellness Committee. Dr. Gworek's diverse performance career includes appearances with the Tuscaloosa and Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestras, as well as tours with ensembles specializing in everything from jazz and rock to African and Renaissance music. He has held numerous prior teaching positions at institutions such as Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Georgia College, and Stephen F. Austin State University, and studied with notable teachers including Keith Aleo and Kay Stonefelt.
