Michael Crawford is a Lecturer of Music Education at the University of North Texas, coordinating student teaching and overseeing percussion methods and ensembles. With a decade of secondary public school teaching experience in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he has directed marching bands, jazz, concert, world music, and percussion ensembles. He previously served on faculty at Tarleton State University and Baylor University and is active as an adjudicator and clinician nationally and internationally. As a performer, he has appeared with orchestras, jazz groups, chamber ensembles, and drum corps in the U.S. and Europe. Dr. Crawford has published in prominent music journals, composes for C. Alan Publications, and is a member of the Percussive Arts Society Education Committee and a Pearl Drums/Adams artist.
