Dr. Megan Arns is a versatile percussionist, ethnomusicologist, and educator who serves as Assistant Professor and Director of Percussion Studies at the University of Missouri. Her diverse career includes past faculty positions at Mansfield University and the National Music Conservatory in Jordan, where she was also Principal Timpanist of the Amman Symphony Orchestra. An active contemporary chamber musician, Dr. Arns performs internationally with the electroacoustic [Switch~ Ensemble], percussion quartet Clocks in Motion, and the saxophone/percussion duo DRAX, with highlights including performances at the Kennedy Center and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. She holds a D.M.A. in Percussion Performance and an M.A. in Ethnomusicology from the Eastman School of Music and is a proud endorser of Vic Firth, Pearl/Adams, Black Swamp Percussion, Remo, and Zildjian.
