Based at the University of South Alabama, Matthew Greenwood serves as the Secretary for the Department of Music and the Assistant Director of the Jaguar Drumline, continuing a long association with the program where he previously held teaching positions from 2009 to 2021. An active and diverse performer, he is a regular percussionist for numerous ensembles across the Gulf Coast, including the Mobile Symphony Orchestra, Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, and Mobile Opera. Mr. Greenwood has presented clinics and masterclasses at events like the Alabama Music Education Association Conference and the Alabama Day of Percussion. He holds a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Louisville, and is a proud endorsing artist for Pearl/Adams Percussion, REMO drumheads, Innovative Percussion, and Grover Pro Percussion.
