Praised as "beguiling" by the Chicago Tribune and a "superb performer" by Chicago Classical Review, Dr. Josh Graham is a dynamic percussionist and educator who begins his appointment as Percussion Program Coordinator at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the fall of 2025. Primarily active in the creation of new music, he has commissioned numerous works and, with his ensembles like the trio F-PLUS, has secured grants from major institutions including the Fromm Foundation, the Koussevitzky Foundation, and Chamber Music America. His projects include the unique "Music and Literature" series pairing new marimba works with authors' writings, and he serves as Principal Percussionist of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Graham holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Illinois and is an endorsed artist for Marimba One, Vic Firth, Zildjian, and Black Swamp Percussion.
