A leader in the percussion community, Dr. Josh Armstrong serves as President of the Mississippi chapter of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and is a member of the national PAS University Pedagogy Committee. He brings this dedication to the field to his position as Assistant Professor of Percussion and Assistant Director of Bands at Delta State University, where he directs the full scope of the percussion program. An active performer, Dr. Armstrong has played with numerous regional orchestras, including the Arkansas and Lubbock Symphonies, and has been a featured artist at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) and the National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in percussion performance from the University of Arizona and is an endorsed artist for Marimba One and Vic Firth.
