Jordan Kamps is a dynamic Chicago-based percussionist and educator, teaching at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he leads courses in percussion ensemble, American popular music, jazz history, and music theory. He is also active in Wisconsin’s high school marching band circuits and maintains a diverse performance career, appearing with groups such as Ensemble Prime, Cream City Percussion, and the Four Star Brass Band. His wide-ranging experience includes collaborations with artists like Sleeping At Last and performances with touring acts including Evanescence and Lindsey Stirling. Jordan is also committed to contemporary music, contributing to numerous commissions and premieres of new percussion works.
