Based in Oklahoma City, Dr. Jamie Wind Whitmarsh is a versatile composer, percussionist, and conductor who is active across the concert hall, film, and video game industries. He serves as Principal Timpanist of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Executive Director and conductor for the Oklahoma Modern Music Collective, and as a faculty member at Oklahoma City University. An award-winning composer, Dr. Whitmarsh has earned first place in both the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and the MTNA National Composition Competitions. His music has been performed at numerous international conventions, including PASIC and the World Saxophone Congress, and he has recordings on the MSR Classics and Equilibrium labels. Deeply engaged in the music community, he serves on the board for several arts organizations, including the Oklahoma Modern Music Collective and American Voices, and is a member of the PAS Composition Committee. Dr. Whitmarsh holds a Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, a Master's from Florida State University, and a Bachelor's from Oklahoma City University.
