"Whether performing in the orchestra or teaching a student, I instinctively reach for a Black Swamp tambourine for almost all musical situations. For me, the sound of a Black Swamp is the Platonic ideal of what a tambourine 'should' sound like."

Evan Glickman is an internationally performing percussionist specializing in orchestral, twentieth-century, new music, and rudimental percussion. Since 2019, he has been principal percussionist of the New Bedford Symphony and frequently performs with orchestras across the Northeast and Midwest. As a chamber and solo artist, he has presented recitals and masterclasses nationwide, often featuring contemporary works. Evan studied at NYU, Rutgers, and the University of Connecticut under renowned teachers including Rob McEwan and Joe Tompkins.
