Dr. Elizabeth DeLamater is a distinguished percussion and steelpan performer, educator, and scholar with extensive international experience. She has performed, researched, and taught in Trinidad & Tobago, Ghana, Japan, and throughout North America, with recent highlights including appearances at the National Women’s Music Festival and the Honduras International Percussion Festival. Currently teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, she also serves as the principal timpanist of the Weidner Philharmonic. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the arts, Dr. DeLamater is the Chair of the Percussive Arts Society Diversity Alliance and has been published in Percussive Notes and Instrumentalist magazine. She holds degrees from Arizona State University, Florida State University, and Northern Illinois University.
