As a dynamic collaborator and arts entrepreneur, Dr. Danielle Moreau actively expands the contemporary repertoire through her work as co-founder of the Moreau | VanTuinen Duo, one of the world's only all-women percussion and low brass duos. A passionate advocate for new music, she has been involved in over 30 commissioning projects and co-initiated a "Call for Miniatures" project during the 2020 lockdown that generated 80 new works from international composers. Dr. Moreau brings this creative energy to her roles as adjunct faculty at the University of Florida and as a performer with ensembles such as the Phoenix and Portland Symphony Orchestras. A featured soloist at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), she also works as a music consultant for public school programs. Dr. Moreau holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Arizona State University and proudly endorses Black Swamp Percussion, Innovative Percussion, and Marimba One.
