Daniel Albertson is a percussionist and educator from Wichita, Kansas, currently serving as Assistant Professor of Music (percussion emphasis) at Kansas Wesleyan University. He holds degrees from Washburn University (B.M.E.) and the University of Delaware (M.M.), where he was a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a founding member of the award-winning Graduate Percussion Group. Albertson has received numerous honors, including first prize at the 2019 Kansas PAS Snare Drum Competition and performances with acclaimed groups such as Sandbox Percussion, Third Coast Percussion, and the U.S. West Point Band. He has taught and performed across the U.S. and abroad, and is also the Festival Coordinator for the 2024 Sunflower Music Festival.
