An international new music musician based in New York City, Chris Graham is a founding member and director of Iktus Percussion and co-principal percussionist for Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, in addition to performing with notable groups such as Talujon Percussion, Mantra Percussion, and Newband. He has commissioned and premiered a vast repertoire of works by esteemed composers including Charles Wuorinen, Michael Gordon, Philippe Manoury, and John Luther Adams. Beyond performing, Mr. Graham is an active concert curator, organizing performances for Issue Project Room that have earned critical acclaim from TimeOut New York, including a top ten concert of the year recognition for a performance of Karlheinz Stockhausen's works. He is a dedicated educator, serving on the faculty at Suffolk Community College, directing the Stony Brook pre-college percussion ensemble, and having held artist-in-residence positions at SUNY Purchase and CUNY Brooklyn College. He holds a Bachelor's from SUNY Purchase College and a Master's from Stony Brook University, where he is currently a candidate in the Doctoral of Musical Arts program.
