Ben Justis is a composer, percussionist, educator, and producer whose music blends neotonality, rich textures, and infectious grooves. His compositions have been performed by ensembles such as the Portland Percussion Group, newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, the Donald Sinta Saxophone Quartet, and the United States Air Force Band. As an Artist-in-Residence at Denali, Homestead, and Glacier National Parks, he created site-inspired works incorporating field recordings. Ben teaches composition, theory, percussion, and music technology at Western Colorado University and is published by Tapspace, North Star Music, and EARTHGRAZER STUDIOS. He is also active as a performer, conductor, and recording artist, with performances at the Aspen Music Festival, Bravo! Vail, and the NYC Electro-Acoustic Festival. A passionate collaborator, Ben composes for a wide range of media and produces local music through Quigley Records and his YouTube channel Percussion Methods.
