Annie Stevens is Associate Professor of Percussion at Virginia Tech, Principal Timpanist of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the acclaimed percussion duo Escape Ten. A sought-after soloist and chamber musician, she has performed and lectured at over 40 universities and multiple international festivals, including NPR’s Performance Today. With Escape Ten, Annie has premiered major works, recorded two albums, and toured internationally. She has helped commission over 45 new percussion works and performs with the faculty quartet October Sky. Annie holds degrees from Northwestern, Rutgers, and Eastman, and endorses Malletech, Remo, Black Swamp Percussion, and Dream Cymbals.
