As a published composer and author with works available through leading publishers like Tapspace, Dr. Andrew Richardson actively contributes to the percussion repertoire. He brings this creative and academic expertise to his position as Assistant Professor of Percussion at Austin Peay State University, where his students have gone on to successful careers as educators and performers. An active clinician and presenter, Dr. Richardson has shared his work at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) and the National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy. A past-president of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, he is also dedicated to community engagement, often performing in local schools and retirement communities. Dr. Richardson holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Oklahoma and is a member of the Vic Firth Education Team and the Black Swamp Percussion Educator Network.
