Born in Clarksville, Tennessee in 1995, Andrew Naughton was adopted into a military family with no prior musical background. His interest in percussion began in 7th grade after attending a middle school band concert. After moving north, he joined the Air Academy High School Marching Band, earning top honors for three years. Andrew studied music at Adams State University, performing in numerous ensembles and co-founding the Alpine Backbeats drumline and Mile High Pan Handlers steel band, both of which toured the Four Corners region. He also teaches West African drumming to school assemblies. Additionally, Andrew is an original member of the band Ol’ Scratch, which has performed extensively in Colorado and New Mexico and has a beer named after it by Square Peg Brewerks.
