Andrew Blair is a composer, conductor, and percussionist originally from Charlotte, NC, currently serving as Assistant Director of Bands and Instructor of Percussion at Northwestern State University in Louisiana. He holds degrees from Western Carolina University and the University of Georgia, where he earned dual Master’s degrees in Conducting and Percussion and a DMA in Percussion and Composition. A dedicated educator and performer, Andrew has led award-winning ensembles and is a frequent guest clinician and conductor. His compositions are performed internationally, with notable appearances at the Midwest Clinic, WASBE, and CBDNA conferences. As a versatile performer, Andrew has worked with symphonies and opera companies across the Southeast and was featured in premiere recordings of works by John Mackey and Kevin Day.
