| The Pana Percussion Quartet is a new, innovative percussion group that fuses classical percussion with today's newest compositions. In homage to its diverse membership, the group takes its name from "pana", the Hawaiian musical word for beat. Audiences can expect the highest level of musicianship, performing a wide variety of literature along with groundbreaking commissions.
Pana Percussion is Ryun Louie, Timpanist for the South Dakota Symphony and percussion specialist for Medina and Wadsworth school districts in Ohio; Alex Stopa, University of Nevada Las Vegas and percussionist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic; Dan Smithiger, McKendree University; Jeff Strom, Winona State University and percussionist with Rochester Symphony Orchestra (MN).
