Percussion Ensemble Showcase 2012 Entry Details
Literature Requirements
Plano East HS - 2011 participant
Percussion Ensemble piece with 4 - 12 performers.
Performance length no more than 10 minutes.
Entry Requirements
Participants must be a High School percussion ensemble.

Only one entry per school is eligible.

Ensemble may be conducted by a director, but may not include
the director as a performer.

Participants must submit an entry packet including:

Pioneer HS - 2011 participant
- Completed Showcase Entry Form (Download HERE)
- 3 copies of the performance score
- 1 copy of digital video performance
- $30.00 entry fee

Video performance date must be between February 1st, 2012 and May 5th, 2012. The video does not have to be a public or concert performance, simply an unedited video recording of the piece performed by the participants.

Entry Deadline
All participant entry packets must be received by 5/5/12 for eligibility. Entry packets will not be returned.

Dan is director of percussion at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville and coordinates the Midwest Percussion Camp. Joseph Gramley, Multi-Percussionist, performs with Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Project, and is professor of music at the University of Michigan
Adjudication
Judging Scale
An adjudication grading system similar to Rubric Evaluation will be used.  The specific form is linked HERE for your reference.  Judge's scores will be averaged for a final score. Completed adjudication forms will be mailed to all participant directors after results have been calculated.
Fan Favorite
After the entry deadline, participant videos will be posted on the BSP YouTube channel for general public viewing.
A poll will be created and made available for viewers to vote for their favorite participating ensemble. The nominated "Fan Favorite" ensemble will have one additional point included in their total score from each judge, before being tallied for the final score.
