Daniel Smithiger / BSP Education Consultant
August 2010

For his second contribution this month, Dan discusses five considerations when campaigning for financial, administrative and parental support for your percussion studio. Intended for a July release, this article may be a day (or two) late, but is certainly not a dollar short!...get it?

Garnering Support

New Instructional Article Series!
Daniel Smithiger has developed a new series of educational reference materials exploring basic performance techniques for common accessory percussion instruments. The series, including easy to follow bullet points, images and video demonstrations, is geared towards beginning percussion students, as well as music directors aspiring to expand their knowledge of percussion performance.

The corresponding photos, and video demonstration of select techniques, provide another level of tutorial with close up, over-the-shoulder and wide angle shots.

First installment of this series: Tambourine Technique
